Supervisor Invitation
Enrollment as an IMHPA Associate Member now includes the requirement that their Supervisor is an IMHPA member, or that the Supervisor enroll within 60 days of the supervisee’s enrollment.
As an experienced clinician you are aware that insurance companies are persistent in their intention to “manage” mental and behavioral care with frequent denial of useful and necessary services because the care takes more time or more intense focus than insurance companies are willing to allow.
You are probably aware that about 40% of licensed mental health professionals work only out-of-pocket. Also, that the 60% of licensed clinicians who do accept insurance, most choose to work with only one or two companies.
And you may know that the “platforms” like Better Help, Headway, Alma, etc. (largely funded by payers and venture capital) promise quick credentialing and steady client flow (while ripping off their 1099 therapist employees). At least one platform sends PHQ9 questionnaires directly to clients, by-passing clinicians responsible for their care!
IMHPA has the ethical objective to recruit and work with Supervisors in offering training and technology which protects the public from mental health privacy invasion and protects clinicians who provide care that is necessary.
IMHPA has access to symptom and change measurement technology (LightQ) which maintains individual client privacy (while demonstrating clinician effectiveness). IMHPA also has access to the Grid charting technology which can rapidly train a clinician to make records that are privacy-protective, clinically-comprehensive and audit-proof. IMHPA has had this technology available in two parts for several years. New Ethical software: GridCharting will soon launch on-line, available to clinicians’ computers.
YOU ARE INVITED TO JOIN IMHPA NOW
Supervisors who enroll in IMHPA now or within 12 months after GridCharting is launched may stay at the $20 per-month IMHPA membership rate for at least 3 years from their enrollment. (Unless they also decide to participate in new contracts IMHPA members accept.)
